How do I change my password?

In order to secure your account, you may want to update your password periodically. We highly recommend your Nexus Mod password is unique to our service and isn't a match for any other username and password combination you use. 

Changing your password

While logged into your Nexus Mods account, you can find the option to change your password in the "Settings" section. This is found by clicking your avatar in the top-right of the webpage and selecting settings. 

Click the "Change password" option, where you will be directed to the form in which you must specify your old and new password.

We highly recommend using a strong password, containing a minimum 12 character and a mixture of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and symbols. 

I've forgotten my password

In the event you've forgotten your password, you can use the password reset form. This will send a verification email to allow you to reset your password. If your email address is no longer valid, we can only verify your account with an invoice from a Supporter or Premium membership purchase. Please contact support@nexusmods.com with this information to resolve the issue. 

Users who are unable to access their account entirely are invited to create a new account with their correct email address.
