Account Recovery

In the event you lose access to your Nexus Mods account, it may be possible to regain access using one of the methods listed below.

Two-Factor Recovery

If you have enabled Two-Factor Authentication, you would have been presented with five backup codes which can be used to access your account if you no longer have access to your phone. These codes are single-use and can be regenerated by turning 2FA off and back on again in your security settings. 

Mobile Number Recovery

Membership Invoice

Users who have supported Nexus Mods by purchasing a Supporter or Premium membership can send a copy of an invoice to support@nexusmods.com to prove they are the account owner. Please include as much information as possible, the most important fields are:

• Date of purchase
• PayPal or bank reference number
• Full name

Note: Payments to Nexus Mods may appear on your transaction history as either "Nexus Mods" or "Black Tree Gaming Ltd".

Additional Options

If you are unable to recover your account using the methods above, it may be easiest to create a new account with your current credentials. However, in some rare cases, we can use other information on your account to verify you. These additional options only apply to users who have shared content on the website (mods, collections, images, etc) or Premium users.
